When talking to clients about how they and their teams are handling the COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainties, I have noticed that many are not aware of some of the coaching services available to them for free which can provide support in regard to managing through these challenging times.
I have outlined a couple of them below:
Coaching services as part of Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)
Most employees are aware of their organisations' Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) which they and sometimes their immediate family members can utilise to enhance their emotional, mental and general wellbeing.
However, some employees might perceive that these services are mainly being provided by psychologists in times of significant crises, unaware that many EAPs have expanded their service provision to include coaching services around wellness, mental health support, career coaching, personal development and growth, executive and leadership coaching, life coaching, stress management and work-life balance.
I have been providing services to a variety of EAP clients with terrific results for the coachees. I recommend having a look at whether your company offers an EAP and what is included. It’s definitely a great supporting tool to guide employees through this COVID-19 uncertainty.

The NSW Government offers free mental health coaching to NSW businesses with less than 200 employees and to NSW not-for-profit organisations of any size. Have a look at the following link to see whether you qualify and which services you are able to receive.
If you’re in another state, I’d encourage you to reach out to your state government’s equivalent body to find out what might be on offer in your state.
